I teach the Latin of classical Rome, and its color system is a little different from what we have in many languages today. The primary color groups of Latin are red, yellow, green, and blue, and this video discusses both what terms are used for these colors, and why Latin doesn't seem to have terms for other colors like orange, violet, and brown.
